In one of Jesus’ famous sermons, he taught that when you pray go to your room and close the door (Matthew 6:6). He advocated praying in private. By doing so you would remove distraction and concentrate fully on God. Jesus continued and emphasized getting to the point when praying, instead of ‘babbling’ as though using many words will make you be heard (Matthew 6:7). Philippians 4:6 says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
